Welcome to my blog.

I’ve been a financial educator since 1997 shortly after taking a one night course on paying off debt quickly.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Siena College, near Albany, NY but I took that degree and started a carpet cleaning business.  I’m sure my parents were very proud.

I’d had a taste of corporate America in my high school and college days and I really didn’t care for it.  My entrepreneurial nature kicked in shortly after college graduation and in March of 1991 I started a carpet cleaning business.

Fast forward to November 1996 when I took that class.  Before the class was even over I’d decided I would teach my own.  I’d always had an interest in public speaking.  I was that weird kid who wanted to go first whenever a “public speaking” assignment appeared in grade or high school.

Not because I’d really enjoyed it BUT because I figured out, pretty quickly, that if I went first I didn’t have to worry about it any more and I wouldn’t be comparing myself to the others.

In January 1997 I started teaching a one night class called “How To Own Your Paycheck Again!”  I’ve taught in as many as 25 school districts throughout NY, MA and NJ.

Sometime in 2001 I developed an online version of my live program and since 2005 over 20,000 have made the investment in themselves.
